Q. What type of advertising works; what doesn’t work?
A. If you want our callers to respond to your advertisement, make your proposition irresistible! If you give our callers a reason to act…they will! Give a discount or some other incentive to bring customers to your door or to make your phone ring. If you think people will beat a path to your company merely because you say your name and phone number and not much else, save your money and pray for customers.

Q. Is there any advertising you won’t accept?
A. Yes. We exercise our right to approve or disapprove of any message or any advertiser for any reason. This is a private business and we primarily do what we think is right.

Q. I thought the phone company owns the time and temperature service. You say you are a private company. What gives?
A. The phone company operated the Time/Temperature Service until the 1970s. Several private companies have operated it since that time.
